Varnau’s donates flowers to Habitat for Humanity
When Varnau’s West Chester Garden Center closed upon the body June 30, the owner, Mark Varnau donated more than $27,000 worth of annuals, shrubs and perennials to the TriState Habitat for Humanity ReStore. A nonprofit Christian housing ministry, Habitat for Humanity seeks to erase substandard trappings by building simple, decent, affordable homes to sell to low-income families in need.
The plant donation will be sold at the Tristate Habitat ReStore in Hamilton. The ReStore sells new and used building materials and other household items, and the money raised by the opportunity to sell of these items goes fair back into Habitat to help with the homes. The ReStore is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.household. Tuesday through Saturday and is open until 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Arrangements be possible to be made to pick up large items, such as adjuncts, by calling (513) 893-1102.
