Tributes and flowers at scene of fatal Ashington accident (Chichester Observer)

A small flag through ‘RIP Bulky’ written without ceasing it has been set up and flowers laid next to it on the busy A24, just south of the village.

More flowers have been left at the party of the thoroughfare.

Police were called to a road traffic accident just after twelve o’clock at night which involved two cars and a pedestrian.

An 18-year-old teenager died at the scene.

Police say it is unclear what happened during the incident but that there was a collision between the two vehicles. Both drivers stopped after the accident.

Police are appealing for witnesses and asking anyone with information to call police sergeant Andy Judson at Haywards Heath on 0845 60 70 999 quoting Operation Drayton.
