Texas Court stays execution after last minute appeal

Derrick Juan Sonnier was sentenced to die for the 1991 stabbing death of Melody Flowers and her 2-year old son Patrick. There are two last-minute appeal filed early on Tuesday stopped Texas’ first scheduled execution after a gap of nine months.
