Cribb, Flowers seek Koehler treasurer in August primary (Cheboygan Daily Tribune)

Flowers said she has been a resident of the area conducive to 31 years and has time and interest to give to the common.

“I have been coming to Indian River for 50 years and be the subject of been a resident for the sake of 31 years,” Flowers said in response to a questionnaire request. “I love it here and am interested in our community. After raising three sons, who are now all married, I now have the available adapt to the occasion to reach out to help others. The township treasurer would give me that opportunity.”

She said she has a financial background that would translate easily into the treasurer's job.

“I was shareholder and office manager of all procedures including payroll, financing, unemployment, year-ends, taxes, insurance, bonding, and line of trust at Citizens National Bank,” she explained. “I handled union employee benefits monthly. I am very organized and like things done right.”

She before-mentioned she would salary alertness to constituents if elected.

“As a limb of the Board, I would be in a position to compassionately listen to the people and help fill their needs of better roads and parks,” she uttered.

Flowers, 57, lives in Koehler Township and has been organizer of parts, ordering docks and hoists and receiving at Burt Lake Marina for eight years.

She has been president, vice president, secretary and treasurer of DuBois Electric Inc. at the corresponding; of like kind time.

Cribb did not respond to the questionnaire request.
